LIVE PERFORMANCE
Interactive Motion Graphics in Real Time
I began by building a collection of procedural visual scenes in TouchDesigner, experimenting with abstract forms, color palettes, and motion behaviors. Once the visual language was established, I mapped key parameters to a MIDI controller, allowing me to manipulate animation speed, scale, distortion, and visual effects during the performance. Through testing and rehearsals, I refined the system to ensure smooth transitions and responsive interaction, resulting in a cohesive audiovisual experience that evolved with the music.
This project expanded my understanding of motion design beyond traditional animation by introducing live performance, procedural graphics, and real-time interaction. It strengthened my confidence in creating under pressure while demonstrating how design, technology, and music can work together to create engaging, immersive experiences.
